Poetry Edition I
I am officially shifting the focus of this newsletter to serve as a place for me to share poetry that I write.
Last week, I had been serving as an RA at the same writer’s workshop that inspired the first edition of this newsletter. Last year, I was an incoming college freshman, and last week I had been hearing a lot of the same speeches. It feels as though everything has changed while nothing has all at the same time over the course of the last twelve months. That week last year was one of the first periods of time where I experienced a constant need to write poetry. I began squeezing stanzas in between class and craft talks, and I learned how to be vulnerable on a page.
